Screw feathers - material type

Screw feathers are manufactured from structural steel, stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, wear-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel and wear-resistant welded steel, among others. The type of material used is selected according to the final application and chosen to guarantee trouble-free operation for a really long time.

The specification of the coils produced depends on the screw conveyor material used and its purpose, the screw conveyor housing, the diameter of the screw feeder shaft.

We manufacture screw conveyor feathers from the following materials:

• S235JR, S355JR,
• 1.4301, 1.4571, 1.4539, 1.4404, 1.4462, 1.4541, 1.4841, 1.4828,
• Hardox 400.

When submitting an enquiry, please specify shaft diameter, worm feather diameter, number of turns, pitch and worm feather thickness according to the following designations:

• d - shaft diameter ,
• D - diameter of the worm feather,
• number of scrolls,
• h - pitch
• s - worm blade thickness.
