The BIG BAG unloading station, is a very interesting piece of equipment. Its task is to empty the material from the BIG BAG into the further production process.

BIG BAG unloading stations are used for the smooth and uniform emptying of bulk or chunky products from BIG BAG bags.

BIG BAG unloading stations - types

We divide BIG BAG unloading stations into two types:

• those loaded using an electric or manual hoist,
• loaded using a forklift in a dedicated crawl space holder of the station structure.

BIG BAG unloading station - construction

The construction of a basic BIG BAG station consists of a support frame and, depending on the loading method, a running beam for the hoist or crampons for the crossbeam of the BIG BAG when loaded with a forklift.

The simplest stations are a support structure and that's it.

The next group of stations are those with chute hoppers, either dust-free or open.

The chute hopper of a BIG BAG station can be upgraded with a vibration drive to support the islands of material. In addition, so-called Boxers, massaging paws supporting the discharge of material from the BIG BAG, can be used.

A material flow shut-off device is often used here. For this, a flat gate, butterfly valve or iris valve is used. A cell dispenser can also be fitted.

We can use a buffer tank under the chute hopper,

Underneath the hopper, a screw feeder, vibrating chute or, for example, a circular vibrating sifter.

We can combine the BIG BAG station with a bottom air conveying system.
