Conveyors, Z-belt feeders

Z-belt conveyor - key features

Z-type broken belt conveyors (or: feeders) are a special conveyor construction in which the belt is arranged in a Z-shape. The belt is arranged in successive horizontal and vertical sections, which allows the materials to change direction. The belt is guided by pressure rollers and guide rollers. Installation of the geared motor can be at the bottom or top.

This type of conveyor is often used when there is a need to transport materials at different levels or where changes in direction are necessary.

The characteristics of this type of conveyor are that both the receiving and feeding of the product take place parallel to the ground, with an inclined section between these levels reaching an angle of 90°.

Customised Z-belt feeders

Z-type curved belt conveyors of our production are characterised by their individual design, adapted to the needs of the customer. It is possible to individually extend the belt conveyor with:

  • a weighing system,
  • a buffer basket,
  • a dedicated belt (carriers, valances, buckets mounted on the belt and other solutions),
  • moisture sensors,
  • various types of chutes,
  • dust extraction and filtration systems,
  • separation of material on the island "smaller fraction falls off, larger fraction passes on" or vice versa.

Z-belt conveyors - wide range of applications

Z-type-Z-fold belt conveyors are used in a wide variety of industries and sectors.

  1. Food industry: to move food between different stages of production, such as washing, slicing, packaging, etc.
  2. Packaging industry: to transport packages, cartons or bags to different levels
  3. Warehousing and logistics: in distribution centres or warehouse operations where it is necessary to move goods to different levels of racks or rooms
  4. Chemical industry: for transporting chemical raw materials or finished products in production processes
  5. Mining industry : in mines to transport raw materials such as coal or ore
  6. Building materials industry: for transporting general cargo, various bulk materials, sand, aggregates, cement, etc.
  7. Recycling industry : for segregation and movement of materials for recycling
  8. Energy industry: for the movement of solid fuels or biomass in power plants
  9. Metallurgical industry: for transporting ore or molten metal in the various stages of production

Z-belt conveyors allow flexible transport of materials in different directions and at variable heights. They are designed taking into account the specific conditions and needs of the industry or production process.

Z-belt conveyor - key advantages:

  • transport of material at a large angle of inclination of up to 90°,
  • lower resistance to belt movement with lateral constraints in the form of corrugations instead of boards,
  • lower energy requirement,
  • transport of goods/materials with a large difference in height in a small space.
